If you haven't heard of of windows server then you have you better skip threw the whole bull shit and great to the good stuff.
Windows have released a BETA testing to the public of its famous Operating system "WINDOWS HOME SERVER 2" which is a better version of windows server 2008. Since this server OS was released on a HP media smart server LX195 I decided to just make my own server and installed the OS which works just fine without a big HP logo attached to it "I hate labels".
They say that Vail will have 4 major expectations that microsoft already promised to its consumers which is the ability to stream music and videos on the VIA internet. Another cool feature is making the
backup of multiple pcs easier than before along with creating your own add-ons for the server which will give you the upper hands for most users. The last features is the administrating features which is suppose to make it easier and better for the user controlling the server which is a major part of a home server because not everyone knows about how to managed a server online and especially at home.
Windows Home server will provide file sharing, streaming, network backups and other server-type benefits to homes and home office users that you cant just say no to its beta download testing site, which you can download here.
Now Vail BETA is being released on a 64-Bit Operating system , so it cant be installed on a 32-BIT, Microsoft just says to install it on a secondary PC rather than on a main home Server.Remember that Installing this OS will force you to delete all of your files and data so be sure to back then up.Vail will require a computer with at least a 1.4GHz x64 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB of disk space.
So its surely worth having it to save your work and stream music outside of your home and if you guys just wait till the full release comes out....I'm sure Silvermyst will get its hands on it for anyone who want us to build them a server and much much more "for a great price".
